Everyone has a first pair of scissors. The pair that will be with you every step of the way during training from awkward first grasp to second nature smooth cutting strokes. The ideal pair will be the right size (good old 5.5"!!!), tough (high carbon steel!!!) and sharp (goes without saying really...) with a pricetag that won't burn a hole through your pocket. The Academy Set comes with a cutting scissor and a thinning scissor with YS PARK G39 guide comb thrown in for good measure.
